Who makes DiraX, and what is it actually?
By Gavin Fan · Updated: 2026-09-30
Gavin Fan founded Infaniti AI Inc. He ships DiraX as a private AI journal with companions, life tracking, and deep insights — not a social feed, and not a clinic. LinkedIn
Quick answer
DiraX is a private AI journal from Infaniti AI Inc. I am Gavin Fan, the founder. I wanted a place for the day you would never post: a secret, a hard night, a small win you almost skipped. Companions comment on the page. Life tracking and deep Insights show the pattern — emotion, topics, people; Premium adds attention, language, cognitive patterns, needs, narrative, relationships, rumination loops, and a trigger map. We are not a clinic and not a social network. We are the record, the circle, and the view over time.
If you landed here because a footer said About, you deserve more than a logo. This is who we are, what DiraX feels like to use, and why I refused to ship a vault, a feed, or a chatbot in a diary costume.
Who is Infaniti AI Inc., and who is Gavin Fan?
Infaniti AI Inc. is the company behind DiraX. I am Gavin Fan. I founded the company to build a journal I would trust with my own unposted life: encrypted in the database, keys secret and rotated, staff unable to browse pages, decrypt only while the product is doing the work you asked for, strict PII care, no training of public models on diaries.
The product is a web app. You sign in, you write, you get comments, you watch Insights fill in as the days stack. Support is a human operation, not a maze. Legal pages live in the open: privacy, responsible AI, terms.
I did not start from “AI is magic.” I started from a hole. Private life had nowhere good to go. Social media wants a performance. Traditional diary apps are often a blank vault — functionally thin, emotionally heavy, easy to abandon. Chatbots will talk about your day and then lose the month. I wanted a fourth place: a private feed for secrets, with depth, plus a record that compounds, plus a pattern you can see.
That fourth place is DiraX. The longer definition of the category is What is an AI journal?. This page is the feeling, the company, and the line I will not cross.
What does DiraX feel like on a real week?
Monday you write six sentences about a dinner you left too early. You save. A companion comments on that page — not on a public wall, on that page. Maybe a second voice lands later in the evening. You read it beside your own words. If it opens something, you continue in Chat with someone who has actually been on the journal: the past 7 days if you are on Free, the full journal if you are on Premium.
Wednesday you notice the same topic is back. Insights is not a sticker. On a 30-day window you can see mood, topics, and people. That is already a kind of honesty a notes file never offered. On Premium you also get attention and language, cognitive patterns, needs, narrative, relationships — and the life recap: a 30-day summary, feedback, rumination loops, a trigger map. I built those cards because “I have been spiraling” is not a plan. A loop with a trigger is a plan.
Friday you might get a small suggestion that belongs in the real world — a book, a quiet treat, a craft — because a journal that only darkens is a journal people flee. Record. Grow. Stay well when the day is hard. Keep a little fun, or the other three fade.
That is the week. Not a clinic appointment. Not a streak badge as the whole personality of the app. A private life record with company, tracking, and Insights.
Companions matter. They are not the whole product. I will keep saying that. In-house characters, community-published friends, friends you shape. Free: one custom friend, up to two comments on the analyzed page, five chats a day. Premium: unlimited custom friends, at most twenty comments, unlimited chat, unlimited Deep analysis. Comments without Insights are a sitcom. Insights without a dated archive are a quiz. Tracking without comments is a dashboard nobody opens. DiraX is the three together.
Goals sit in the same spine. One on Free, unlimited on Premium. Writing can attach to a goal; you get related pages, summary, feedback, a score you can act on. Growth you can do without turning the diary into homework.
Why should you trust a small company with a diary?
Trust is the core promises, repeated until they are boring:
Entries are encrypted in the database. Keys are secret and rotated. Staff cannot browse pages. We decrypt only while the product is doing the work you asked for. We take strict care with personal identifiers — please keep IDs, street addresses, bank details, and passwords off the page. We do not train public models on diaries.
You do not need a laundry list of processor brands. You need categories: hosting, sign-in, AI processing, payments. Optional analytics only after consent. The NIST Privacy Framework is a useful public language for “know what you collect and why.” Our consumer version is the paragraph above, plus export and delete in Settings, plus the privacy policy.
I would not ask you to write a hard night into a product that treated that night as training fuel for a public model. I would not ask you to write it if people on my team could wander the archive. I ship the encryption-and-keys design because I write here too.
We are not a therapist and never market as one. We challenge; we do not only validate. 13+. Your thoughts stay the centrepiece. Responsible AI is six boundaries: not a replacement for human connection; not a clinician; not an echo chamber; not the judge of your actual relationships; guard what you type; then step out of the screen.
Expressive writing has a public research trail; the APA’s monitor piece on writing is one door into that tradition. DiraX is software in that tradition, with companions, tracking, and Insights added — not a treatment, not a diagnosis.
How is the product priced, and what are you actually buying?
You are buying the habit on Free and the pattern on Premium. You are not buying a personality cult. You are not buying a medical device.
| Free | Premium | |
|---|---|---|
| Analyzed entries | 1 per day | Unlimited Deep analysis |
| Companion comments | Up to 2 | At most 20 |
| Insights | 30-day mood, topics, people | Those, plus attention, language, cognitive patterns, needs, narrative, relationships |
| Life recap | — | 30-day summary, feedback, loops, trigger map |
| Chat | 5 per day | Unlimited |
| Companion memory | Past 7 days | Your full journal |
| Goals | 1 | Unlimited |
| Custom friends | 1 | Unlimited |
| Price | $0 | $1.99 first month, then $5.99/mo or $55/year |
Free companions remember the past 7 days. Premium remembers the full journal. Insights can still speak in a 30-day window for mood, topics, and people. That window is how the cards are framed, not a secret cap on Premium memory.
Monthly Premium you can cancel anytime and keep until the month you paid for ends. Yearly has 14 days to change your mind for a full refund of that year; after that, the year stays. The diary remains on Free if you step down.
Numbers also live on pricing. If you want to feel the week I described, Try DiraX. Start with a short page. Let a companion land on it. Open Insights after you have enough days to make the 30-day view mean something.
What will DiraX never become?
We will not become a social network. Inner secrets are not for a public feed. We will not become a clinic. Hard days are welcome; the brand is not a diagnosis. We will not become “just companions.” The archive, the life tracking, and the Insights stack are why the comments know anything and why you come back in month three.
We will not become a mystery box of brands on a privacy page. Categories, core promises, legal docs. We will not become a product that trains public models on your diary in the background.
I will keep shipping the unglamorous parts: encryption, key rotation, export, delete, the boring terms. Glamour is a comment that actually heard the dinner. Glamour is a trigger map that names the loop. Glamour is still having March when it is November.
